Own your own Eskimo Hut!

 

Eskimo Hut is actively seeking motivated individuals to become franchisees. Prior business experience, coupled with personal financial qualifications, individual motivation and a track record of success are important factors in our evaluation process. Answers to our most frequently asked questions are below. How much money do I need to open a franchise?

 

Individuals will need as little as $100,000 to as much as $750,000 in total cost of each unit – this varies by size, location and ownership. You may opt to purchase the land and/or building where you conduct your Eskimo Hut business, or you may opt to lease a building. Eskimo Hut recommends that an individual have at least $25,000 in non-borrowed personal resources (liquid assets, e.g. cash, marketable securities, stocks, etc…) along with an overall net worth (total assets minus total liabilities) of $300,000 to qualify. Financing is to be secured through third-party lending sources.

 

How much are the royalties and other annual fees?

 

The beautiful thing about the Eskimo Hut is low royalties. Every franchisee is required pay 2% of gross sales with it going towards business development, updating policies and procedures, and further training. Every franchisee is also required to purchase your confidential ingredients for the Eskimo Snow drinks and any Eskimo Hut product offered from approved Eskimo Hut vendors. Beyond that, there are no other annual fees due to the Franchiser.

 

What are the average annual sales of an Eskimo Hut store?

 

Average of 2007 and 2008 sales at a random group of the corporate-owned units were $1,467,066. You are welcome to contact existing franchisees to find out what their sales are. Most franchisees are willing to discuss such information with you once it is determined that you are serious about investing in an Eskimo Hut franchise.

 

How much can I make as an Eskimo Hut franchisee?

 

We are restricted by the Federal Trade Commission and various state franchise sales regulations from providing you with specific profit projections. To learn more about actual experiences, we will encourage you to speak with existing franchisees during our application process.

 

Does Eskimo Hut offer financing?

 

No. However, Hut Two, Ltd. can direct potential franchisees to sources that have provided financing options to other franchisees in the areas of equipment leasing, construction and SBA loans.

 

How long does it take to open the store?

Each location is different, depending on a variety of factors, including site selection, TABC license acceptance, build-out requirements and training. However, it typically takes approximately 2-6 months from signing the franchise agreement to opening day at your Eskimo Hut convenience store.

 

What kind of training can I expect as a franchisee?

All new franchisees are encouraged, but not required, to participate in a 2 week training program at two Houston corporate owned locations. This consists of one week at a location that sells majority convenience items and tobacco, and one week at a location that sells majority daiquiris. In addition, if requested, your assistant managers can accompany you to learn and ask questions. Once completed, franchisees receive regular updates to their training, including on site reviews.

 

How is the drink quality and consistency maintained?

 

All Eskimo Snow wine products are delivered by a Texas wine distributor to all stores on an as-needed basis. All Eskimo Hut flavors and promotional products are delivered by a local freight line to all stores on an as-needed basis. In this manner, the high-quality Eskimo Hut frozen daiquiri you enjoy in Amarillo is the same as the frozen daiquiri we make for you in Houston, Midland or any other Eskimo Hut location.
